Why do injuries happen?

Dr. Jeremiah Jimerson

IT’S NOT JUST A MATTER OF TREATING SYMPTOMS, BUT SOLVING YOUR WHY

Far too many people waste time and money chasing symptoms. Getting adjustments, countless physical therapy hours, stretching and foam rolling, injections and surgeries while never getting true clarity about WHY their pain happened in the first place – this needs to STOP!

Elbow Pain

Do you have pain at the outside of your elbow?
Do you have pain at the inside of your elbow?
Do you have elbow pain when lifting?
Do you have elbow pain when twisting?

Chronic elbow pain can be debilitating for everyday activities. If your elbow hurts when you lift, pull or twist during your daily activities you might have either Golfer’s Elbow or Tennis Elbow depending on which muscles and tendons you develop scar tissue or adhesions in.

Elbow pain at the outside or back of your forearm is classified as Tennis elbow, which can develop even if you don’t play tennis! Elbow pain the the inside of your forearm is considered Golfer’s elbow which can also develop even if golf isn’t your thing (kinda hard not to do considering all of Charleston’s amazing Golf and Tennis!)

Dr. Jimerson has treated thousands of elbow pain cases in his Charleston and Summerville offices over the past 15 years and has become one of the goto sources to treat chronic elbow pain (especially if other treatments have failed in the past). In the Charleston area.

One of the most important things to determine even before treating chronic elbow pain is to determine what activities or weaknesses caused the elbow pain to start in the first place. This helps prevent relapses in treatment.

Next is to determine if the elbow pain is due to any nerve entrapments. Entrapped or pinched nerves can happen in the neck, shoulder, elbow and or wrist that can cause or contribute to chronic elbow pain.

Treating symptoms is one thing, finding the root cause of those symptoms SOLVES the problem

The world of pain relief is filled with marketing and massive amounts of myopic thinking. This chiropractor says “a bone is out of place,” that physical therapy office says “just do this 10 pages of exercises” and often the medical approach is to medicate, inject, or cut – sadly, that’s the world that we live in and unlike this website it’s not all black and white.

The fact is, treating symptoms will never result in permanent relief. It’s like duct taping a leaky ceiling. It might look good for a hot minute, but it doesn’t take that long before you wish you hired a better contractor.

After being in the pain and performance world for 20 plus years, my focus today is providing immediate relief, but also being the detective that leaves no stone unturned of showing you how to keep it that way.

Dr. Jeremiah is my go to for my patients when all else fails

Dr. Robert Schoderbeck – Orthopedist

I know this sounds crazy… I will fly to Charleston to see him… hands down this guy is a healer

Mo Maynor

Dr. Jimerson is OUTSTANDING! As a clinician myself, I appreciate his direction and encouragement… but mostly the RESULTS!

Priscilla Nugent – Physical Therapist

Dr. Jimerson often starts treating elbow pain with Active Release Technique, a patented scar tissue release that breaks down adhesions in muscles, tendons, ligaments and around nerves. He follows the ART treatment with his proprietary pain technique that turns off pain in seconds after stimulating pain points around the body.

Most elbow pain patients experience a minimum of a 90% relief in pain after their first treatment. While you might be temped to get back to those beautiful golf or tennis or racket sports that Charleston has to offer with your healed elbow pain, you might want to rest it just for a little.

While Dr. Jimerson has been voted best chiropractor in Charleston, he doesn’t necessarily look at things from a chiropractic perspective and thus avoids unnecessary chiropractic adjustments and x-rays. It is this methodology and his ability to look at injuries from an outside the box perspective that Charleston Orthopedic Surgeons, Physical Therapists and other Chiropractors routinely refer complex and unfixable pain cases to him.
